France vs Morocco Semifinals, Lineups, H2H and Score Prediction

France will face Morocco in the semifinal duel of the 2022 World Cup at the Al Bayt stadium, Wednesday (14/12/2022). This is a duel full of surprises.

This is none other than the progress of Morocco. The club made by Walid Reragui has stunned the world's football public because they managed to get rid of their opponents until they reached the semifinals of the Qatar World Cup.

Morocco's journey started less convincing. They started their duel in Group F with a 0-0 draw against Croatia.

But in the next match, Morocco managed to win two wins against Belgium and Canada. Morocco's surprise continued when they faced Spain in the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup.

Morocco managed to dampen Spain in normal time. In the penalty shootout round, Spain was unable to even score a goal so Morocco won 3-0 on penalties.

The coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Reragui wants his players to take on the role of Rocky Balboa in the sequel to the film Rocky. The audience never thought that the boxer would perform a miracle when he won in the storyline of the film.

“The 1-0 victory over Portugal and advancing to the semifinals of the 2022 World Cup is not a miracle. The media, maybe especially the Western media, will call this a miracle, but for me it's not a miracle. This is the fruit of our hard work," said Reragugui in a press conference after the match at the Al Thumama Stadium, Doha, Qatar, Saturday (10/12/2022) evening.

Lucky

Meanwhile, French coach Didier Deschamps was not conceited because he managed to qualify for the semifinals of the 2022 World Cup. He said that France was only lucky to beat England, who appeared extraordinary.

"It was a big game, we faced a technically and physically strong England," said Deschamps.

"The players performed brilliantly so that they can appear in the semi-finals again. We were a little lucky because one of the two penalties was missed. We worked hard to maintain our advantage."

France has a big chance to defend the title. This is the first time the defending champions can appear in the semifinals again after 60 years.

"We will be fully prepared to face Morocco who deserve credit. Maybe they did not expect to qualify for the semi-finals, but they have only conceded once," said Deschamps.
