Brazil vs South Korea Lineups, H2H and Score Prediction 2-0
The Brazilian national team and the South Korean national team will face each other in the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup. The match at Stadium 974 is scheduled to kick-off Tuesday, 6 December 2022, at 02:00 WIB.
Brazil lost several injured players. However, Brazil is still going strong. Neymar is also reported to have recovered and can return to action on the field. South Korea must be vigilant.
Brazil ensured their qualification on matchday 2 after winning 2-0 over Serbia and 1-0 over Switzerland. With coach Tite's rotation, Brazil won and lost 0-1 to Cameroon in the last match, but they were still able to finish as winners of Group G with six points.
Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus picked up injuries against Cameroon. The injuries to the two Brazilian players were reportedly quite severe, which prevented them from continuing. However, Neymar, who was injured in the first match, is reported to have recovered.
The injuries to Telles and Jesus probably won't affect Brazil's strength too much. Because, they are not the main choice like Richarlison, who bought up two goals against Serbia in Brazil's first game.
Meanwhile, South Korea arrived at this round after qualifying dramatically from Group H. The escape was ensured by a 2-1 win over Portugal on matchday three. Coming from behind in the 5th minute, South Korea turned to win through goals from Kim Young-gwon in the 27th minute and Hwang Hee-chan in stoppage time .
Brazil and South Korea had previously met last June, namely in one of the warm-up matches towards Qatar 2022. At that time, Brazil skinned South Korea 5-1, in which Richarlison contributed one goal, while Neymar contributed two.
This time, they meet in the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup. The winner will face either Japan or Croatia in the quarter-finals.
