Argentina vs France in Final, Will Messi Lift the Champion Trophy?
France managed to qualify for the World Cup final after beating Morocco with a score of 2-0. France's winning goals were scored by Theo Hernandez in the first half followed by Randal Kolo Muani's goal in the second half.
Morocco actually put up quite a fierce resistance to France, especially when Les Bleus just won 1-0. However, a number of opportunities obtained by Morocco failed to produce results.
For France, success in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup final is the fourth time for them. On the previous three occasions, France won twice (1998 and 2018) and was runner-up once (2006).
Previously, Argentina made sure to advance to the 2022 World Cup final. The Albiceleste qualified for the top party after beating Croatia with a landslide score of 3-0.
Argentina's landslide victory was started by Lionel Messi's penalty goal. Argentina got a penalty after Julian Alvarez was brought down in the forbidden box.
After that, Alvarez twice scored against Croatia. First when he showed individual action by running from the middle of the field and breaking into the Croatian goal.
Second, when he continued Messi's mature bait which successfully destroyed the left side of the Croatian defense.
For Argentina, the 2022 World Cup final will be the sixth final in their history. In the five previous finals, Argentina twice won the title.
Argentina won the 1978 World Cup by beating the Netherlands and won the 1986 World Cup by beating Germany. Argentina's three defeats in World Cup finals occurred in 1930 from Uruguay and lost twice against Germany (West) in 1990 and 2014.
