Argentina vs Australia Tonight Lineups, H2H and Score Prediction 5-0

The Argentine national team and the Australian national team will face off in the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup. The match at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium is scheduled to kick-off Sunday, December 4 2022, at 02:00 WIB.

Overturned in the first match, Argentina then won the next two matches. Lionel Messi and his colleagues also qualified for the knockout stages and managed to maintain their ambition to become champions. If they want to keep going, they must pass Australia's defense.

Argentina started their steps in Group C with a 1-2 defeat to Saudi Arabia. Having excelled through a Lionel Messi penalty, Argentina then conceded two goals, and their unbeaten record of 36 matches was stopped.

However, the defeat did not extinguish the spirit of Argentina. Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernandez's goals then gave Argentina a 2-0 victory over Mexico in the second match. After that, even though Lionel Messi's penalty was blocked by goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, Argentina won 2-0 over Poland through goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Julian Alvarez in the third match.

As the winner of Group C, Argentina met with the runner-up of Group D, namely Australia. On paper, Argentina is certainly superior, but they must not underestimate their opponent.

Australia was indeed beaten by France 1-4 in the first game, but, with their collective play, Australia was able to beat Tunisia and humiliate Denmark with a score of 1-0 each to qualify for the round of 16.

Against France, Australia won first through Craig Goodwin's goal, but eventually lost. Against Tunisia, Australia took the lead through Mitchell Duke's goal, and eventually won. Against Denmark, Mathew Leckie's opening goal was also able to hold until the long whistle.

From there, Argentina should be able to see that Australia must not be allowed to steal opportunities. If they concede first, Argentina may have to appear ferocious like France to turn things around. However, if Argentina is able to excel first, the road to victory seems to be open for them.
