L'Equipe report that France's coaching staff are considering tactical changes for the game against Denmark . Head coach Didier Deschamps will use Jules Kounde in defence, Adrien Rabiot in midfield and Ousmane Dembele up front.
As for Benjamin Pavard's poor form on Tuesday – especially on Australia's opener, where he lost his keeper – could cost him his place. Dembele is also said to be sorry it took the Bayern Munich man so long to get to the ball.
Staff are considering placing Adrien Rabiot in a midfield position instead of Antoine Griezmann, with the Atletico Madrid man expected to leave some space behind him in the opening game as he must master a new all-round role.
Up front, Kingsley Coman, who is currently recovering from a muscle problem, can be put to good use in the position, having taken on defensive duties in recent games for Les Bleus in recent years.
France had hoped to avoid a third successive defeat to Denmark in the same year. The last two meetings between the teams were in the UEFA Nations League in 2022, which were both won by Denmark, with France conceding two goals in both matches.
"We are talking about a period of four months where they beat us twice and made life very difficult for us. We have to make sure that doesn't happen again (on Saturday)," Deschamps said as reported by BBC Sport.
